VISITING MURRAY STATE
There are several ways prospective students can visit the university and learn about our program.
1. Schedule an individual visit
This is the most flexible way to visit the university. An individual campus visit will allow you to build a specific schedule on a day of your choosing. You will be able to observe music classes, attend rehearsals, get a campus tour, have a free trumpet lesson with Dr. Swisher, and speak with university representatives about admissions, scholarship and financial aid. Plan to spend a full day at the university. In order to schedule an individual visit contact Dr. Swisher.
2. A Group Visit
Group visits are designed for 10 or more individuals. A standard group visit will include a presentation on admission, housing, financial aid, and scholarship application requirements and deadlines by an admission counselor and a tour of campus. However, upon contacting the School Relations office to schedule the visit, information about the visit's purpose will be taken in order for the visit to be tailored to the group's needs. Call the School Relations office at 800-272-4678 ext. 1 or 270-809-2896 to schedule a group visit. If you choose this option, be sure to contact Dr. Swisher and come by for a free trumpet lesson.
3. Racer Days
Racer Days are open house style visits where students have the opportunity to meet the School Relations staff, professors, and student organization representatives. Students will also have the opportunity to meet with Financial Aid and Scholarship office staff. Campus tours will be available at the close of the event. No reservations are needed for the Racer Days. For a more complete schedule of each Racer Day, please visit the university's homepage.
